Back to Basics 2 - Tools of a Healthy Kitchen

For those who don't know how to get started with the whole healthy eating, here are some tools I use almost every single day.

1. You'll need a blender for smoothies, dressing, etc.
2, 3 & 4. Muffin and cake pans, cookie sheets. A must for baking those guilt-free treats!
5. A food processor will help to turn oats and cereal into flour, cuts up vegetables easily and quickly. You can even make dough and nut butters in one.
6. Different cutting boards. Red for meats, green for vegetable and fruit, etc.
7. Hand mixer or stand mixer for cookies, cakes, doughs.
8. Measuring spoons and cups. This is ESSENTIAL.
9. Slow cooker. It's great for those who don't have a ton of time to cook. Turn it on in the morning and when you get home, dinner is ready.
10. Food scale. Another ESSENTIAL.
11. Dutch oven for soups, stews, stock, etc.
12. Ice cream spoon to measure muffins and cupcakes perfectly.
