Make your own ketchup!

If you want to impress the PANTS off your friends (maybe even literally..I'm not judging), make a batch of this ketchup. It is SOOO easy, you'll feel a little guilty that everyone is complimenting you. It's also way healthier than buying ketchup because you can choose the ingredients that go in, there is nothing artificial in there (as long as you have some good powdered garlic and onion), and it's so much cheaper. This is the ingredient list in the Hunts ketchup.

Here are all the ingredients you need:

Ingredients
-6 oz can tomato paste (organic's cool)
-1/4 cup honey (or agave)
-1/2 cup white vinegar
-1/2 cup water
-1 tsp sugar (you can use less if you're looking to cut back on sugar)
-3/4 tsp salt
-1/4 tsp onion powder
-1/8 tsp garlic powder

Directions
-Turn your stove on medium heat and place a medium saucepan on the burner. Add all your ingredients and whisk until smooth.
-Once it starts bubbling up, lower the heat so it simmers. Leave it there for 20 minutes, whisking frequently.
-Let it cool completely once the 20 minutes are up, then transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge.

This is the express ketchup recipe. There are recipes that call for many more spices, minced up onions and garlic, tomatoes like this other one I have. Both are great but since this was my first try, I went for the quick route. I actually think it's the best of the 2 recipes I've tried. The taste is exactly the same as store-bought ketchup. I bet you won't want to buy ketchup at the store ever again!
